I’m sure you’ve seen this error in your travels, here’s how to fix it:
MSI: Setup failed due to unexpected circumstances The error code is 80070005

  1. Run “dcomcnfg” in Run dialogue box. (Distributed COM Configuration Properties opens)
  2. Expand Component Services > Computers > My Computer
  3. Right click “My Computer” > Properties
  4. Default Properties Tab
  5. Change the “Default Authentication Level” to “Connect”
  6. Change the “Default Impersonation Level” to “Identify”
  7. Press Ok bottun and close all the windows.
  8. Rerun ccmsetup.exe
